Agoura is approximately 45 minutes outside downtown Los Angeles, nestled in the foothills of the Santa Monica Mountains.

Late in the 1700s, the Spanish arrived, driving the Native American Indians from Agoura.

The Spanish introduced a ranching culture into the area. This last until the 1900s, when orchards and wheatfields replaced Agoura's cattle and sheep ranches.

In the 1950's, the property in Agoura Ca was divided into tracts for housing.
